Cultural Heritage Celebration
Saturday, March 17, 2018
10 am to 4 pm
Celebrate the culture and ethnic groups that make up Rockford! Learn about your community through educational displays, make cultural crafts, and enjoy ethnic musical and dance performances. Admission also includes viewing the museum’s galleries including the “Many Faces, One Community” immigrant experience exhibit.
Musical and dancing performance schedule is as follows:
11:30 am – Polish Traditional Dancing, St. Stanislaus Kosta Church
12 pm – Irish & Celtic Music, Trinadora
12:30 pm Rockford Today Network, Arabian Music and Dancing
1 pm – Irish Traditional Dancing, McNulty Irish Dancers
1:30 pm – The Silk Road from Algebra and Amercia, Sarene Alsharif
2 pm – Syrian Music, Syrian Newcomers
2:30 pm Rock Valley College presents, Azonto & Hispanic Remix
3 pm Irish Fiddle Music, Kaeleigh Miller
