                                           Diversity and Social Justice                                                         Keynote Speaker:  Dr. Mona Sue Weissmark

Dr. Weissmark brings both new understanding and new questions to the concept of diversity and social justice that resonates with current events throughout the world.  The detailing of the concept of justice and injustice as both personal and intergenerational has implications for both individuals and society as we witness polarization in the U.S. today.

Dr. Mona Sue Weissmark is the founder and former director of the Program Initiative for Global Studies at Northwestern University and the founder and former director for the Center for Social Justice in Chicago.  She is part-time Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and also teaches the course “Plychology of Diversity’ and conducts research on diversity and social justice at Harvard University.
