Senseless violence plagues communities across the country, including in Chicago, and at times it can seem unstoppable. In this conversation, activists working at the local and national levels will discuss the challenges they face and the strategies they use to promote peace.
Parkland, Florida school shooting survivor David Hogg, peace activist Henry Cervantes, and founder of the advocacy group Sisterhood Gwen Baxter, will explore the causes of and solutions to community violence. Hear grassroots strategies to make a positive impact in your own backyard. Program moderated by Laura Washington of the Chicago Sun-Times and ABC-7.
